About

Texpundit.com is the semi-coherent, online musings/rants/ravings of a Texan expatriate that is now living in the Washington, DC metro area. Topics such as politics, culture, current events, employment, humor, dating and life in general in the DC area will be the mainstay. Most posts will be observations about the local area from an “outsider’s” point of view…a lifelong Texan’s perspective.

Tex is a graphic designer, web developer, entrepreneur and musician who moved to the DC area in early 2005 with the hopes of making a better life for himself. Hell, with a male/female ratio of 79/100 and twice-to-three times the wages of the area he was previously living in, it sounds like a great time. Right? Not so.

Just remember: “If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.”

This blog is a testament to how “not so” the situation really is. Tex hopes you enjoy it.

Tex has also been invited to write for Crackerpunch.com, but is not doing so at the moment.
