Just a quick update: I’m going to be shutting down and archiving this version of the blog very soon and replacing it with a fresh install of Wordpress 2.5.1. This blog will still exist, but in a subfolder on my site, so you’ll still be able to read back posts and such.
The new version will have a new, cleaner theme and a lot of new features that will allow me to post remotely, quickly and more often. The posts will be more short form work, for the most part, but I will have some long form posts interspersed.

Also, sorry for disappearing for so long (4 months and 4 days). I’ve been going through some emotional stuff and thinking about a lot of things. I also have been getting a LOT more political lately, so most likely, I’ll be spewing some of that here in the very near future.

Yep. I finally went and did it. I finally put a redesigned template up.
This is just a quickie, temporary redesign, though. I still have some things to finish (like comments section and such), so bear with the transition.
I have a much more developed and eye-catching design about halfway complete, but that was taking too long, so I whipped this one up over the weekend.

I’ve always been a big fan of clever animation and in light of Pixar along with a host of individuals and smaller studios putting out animated shorts, I thought taking a day a week of my blog to share some of my favorite animations with my readers would be pretty nifty. ;)
So, starting today, every Saturday here at Texpundit will be “Animation Saturday.”
Today’s inaugural entry was found a few months ago on YouTube and is one of the cleverest (and could be considered sad, I almost cried with sadness and joy when I first viewed it…and I’m not a sap, mind you) animations I’ve ever seen from a single individual. I hope you enjoy it.

FYI to anyone who might be reading this God-forsaken blog at this moment instead of being out, partying: I’m about to start a site upgrade from Wordpress 2.0.4 to 2.0.6. (Yeah, I skipped the 2.0.5 upgrade…shoot me.)
So, if this site appears wonky or certain things don’t work correctly for the next 10-30 minutes, don’t freak out. All will be back to normal very soon.
And I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’m in the process of building a whole new layout for the site. So, keep your eyes peeled during the next week or so. I’ll have it up ASAP.
